Yoga to Improve Self Confidence



Yoga is a refreshing, innovative and holistic way of developing self confidence. One may wonder how a practice which is used to improve mental and physical health can help in improving confidence in someone. Selective Yoga Postures and Meditation

For better physical appearance one may try mountain pose, cat-cow bend, and bridge pose.

There are certain poses that can be done while standing and are extremely effective. One of them has been elaborated below.

Stand straight with your hands resting on the sides. Make left feet take a firm hold on the ground such that you bend right leg upwards and hold its ankle with your right hand. While doing so, raise your left arm away from the chest, upwards and backwards. You will feel a stretch in your entire back. Regular practice of this posture helps in forming a healthy and attractive curve in your back.

A meditative mind is able to look at a situation in the most rational way possible. There are many ways to meditate depending upon your path chosen. Do you wish to explore the religious, spiritual or philosophical sides of meditation? Take your pick.

Additionally, meditation can be performed using different senses such as sense of sight (by gazing at a particular object), by sense of speech and hearing (either by reciting or by listening certain sounds or mantras) or by using ones imagination.

How to take Time out for Yoga

It is not necessary to take out an hour to do yoga to achieve self confidence. Simple breathing exercises take about 5 to 10 minutes to be done and 2 positions can be practiced within 15 minutes. You need about 30 minutes out from your 24 hours of life. That is all. Additionally, you may split time or doing these exercises. Breathing exercise or meditation can be done in morning and postures can be done either in your office or when you come back home in the evening.
